AECOM announced that it has been selected for a multiple‑award environmental services contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District. The agreement will allow the company to deliver innovative remediation solutions that focus on reducing hazardous contaminants through site mitigation and remediation services, including PFAS and radiological material management.

"For more than 40 years, AECOM has proudly partnered with the USACE Baltimore District to advance environmental cleanup initiatives that protect communities and restore ecosystems," said Frank Sweet, chief executive of AECOM’s Environment business. He added, "Through the expertise of our scientists, engineers, and environmental specialists, we are committed to delivering sustainable, science‑driven solutions that address our clients' challenges."

"Through this award, AECOM will support USACE in advancing remediation and resilience efforts that confront today's evolving environmental challenges and protect communities nationwide," said Karl Jensen, executive vice president of AECOM’s National Governments business. He noted that the company will "leverage advanced technologies like predictive modeling and data collection tools that expedite field analysis and improve data quality to help deliver solutions that not only meet regulatory requirements but also promote long‑term ecosystem restoration and prepare sites for future redevelopment."

The contract value was not disclosed in the announcement, but AECOM’s prior agreements with the Baltimore District have had ceilings of $240 million and $100 million. The new award expands AECOM’s environmental services portfolio and strengthens its presence in federal infrastructure projects, marking a significant new customer win for the firm.

AECOM reported revenue of $16.1 billion for fiscal year 2025. The company has recently secured other major contracts, including program management support for the San Diego Unified School District and a position on the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD contract, underscoring its continued success in winning large‑scale public‑sector projects.

The award reinforces AECOM’s long‑standing relationship with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and positions the company to capitalize on growing demand for environmental remediation, particularly in PFAS and radiological cleanup. By leveraging advanced technologies and a proven track record, AECOM is poised to deliver high‑impact solutions that meet regulatory requirements and support long‑term ecosystem restoration, further solidifying its leadership in federal infrastructure services.
