Adtran and GLDS have expanded their partnership, enabling GLDS BroadHub® to orchestrate subscriber creation, service activation, and ongoing lifecycle changes across access and the connected home. The new collaboration automates processes that previously required manual hand‑offs between billing, OSS, and in‑home networking systems, creating a seamless end‑to‑end workflow for broadband and managed Wi‑Fi operators.
The focus of the expansion is billing‑driven, zero‑touch automation. When a new customer is added or a service change is requested in GLDS BroadHub, the system automatically triggers provisioning in Adtran’s Intellifi managed Wi‑Fi platform and other networking assets. This eliminates manual intervention, reduces operational costs, and accelerates service delivery, allowing operators to respond more quickly to customer demand and improve the overall experience.
GLDS, founded in 1980, has long served small to mid‑sized broadband operators with tier‑one billing and customer‑management functionality at a lower price point. By integrating BroadHub with Adtran’s Intellifi platform, the partnership delivers a unified billing‑to‑home‑networking flow that supports real‑time lifecycle management and reduces the need for separate OSS tools. The integration positions Adtran to capture a larger share of the growing managed‑service market and strengthens its competitive moat against rivals such as Cisco, Nokia, and others.
"Our partnership with Adtran is built around a shared goal: making it easier for broadband operators to serve a growing and increasingly demanding customer base. By extending BroadHub® billing‑driven automation all the way through to in‑home Wi‑Fi, we’re taking the pain out of manual hand‑offs that slow activation and increase operational overhead," said Garrick Russell, President and COO of GLDS.
"This next step in our partnership with GLDS is about empowering service providers to take full control of the entire subscriber journey. By bringing Intellifi into a shared, billing‑driven automation framework with GLDS, we’re connecting the in‑home experience to the same operational flow that already powers network services," added Philip Bednarz, General Manager of Software Platforms at Adtran.
