Advanced Energy Industries announced the LPP200 series, a 200‑W AC‑DC power supply that measures only 0.75 inches (19 mm) in height and has a footprint of 2 × 4 × 0.75 inches. The unit delivers a power density of 33 W/in³ and offers voltage outputs ranging from 12 V to 48 V. It is certified to EN/IEC/cUL60601‑1 for medical (Type BF) and EN/IEC/cUL62368 for industrial/ITE applications.

The LPP200 is aimed at medical and industrial devices such as patient monitors, displays, infusion pumps and other precision equipment. Shane Callanan, VP of Medical Products, said the series was “specifically developed to address the trend for smaller, sleeker medical and industrial systems where space is at a premium.” He added that the power supplies “offer exceptional reliability as well as EMI and EMC performance giving designers the ability to reduce overall equipment size without compromising performance.”

Advanced Energy’s strategy has focused on diversifying revenue streams and expanding into high‑growth areas like data‑center computing and industrial power. The LPP200 launch aligns with that strategy by adding a compact, high‑efficiency product that can capture demand in the growing medical and industrial markets. The company’s recent Q4 2025 results—$489 million in revenue and an adjusted EPS of $1.94—highlight its continued investment in new product development.

The demand for miniaturized power solutions in medical and industrial devices is accelerating, driven by the need for smaller, more integrated equipment. The LPP200’s ultra‑low profile and high power density directly address these space constraints, making it an attractive option for designers who must fit power supplies into tight form factors.

In a competitive landscape that includes MKS Instruments, Delta Electronics and AcBel Polytech, Advanced Energy differentiates the LPP200 through its medical and industrial certifications, high power density, and proven reliability. These attributes position the product to compete effectively in both markets.

The launch demonstrates Advanced Energy’s commitment to innovation and its broader strategy to diversify its portfolio and capture growth in high‑growth markets. By offering a compact, high‑performance power supply, the company strengthens its position in the medical and industrial segments while supporting its long‑term growth objectives.
