AITX Secures Expansion Order from Major Auction Operator, Adding Two RIO 360 and Two RIO Mini Units

AITX announced that its subsidiary, Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD), has secured an expansion order from a leading national auction operator. The order adds two RIO 360 units and two RIO Mini units, each paired with a Speaking Autonomous Responsive Agent (SARA) AI platform license, building on a similar order announced in October 2025.

The expansion demonstrates the operator’s confidence in RAD’s autonomous security platform after a successful initial installation. By adding four new units and the associated SARA licenses, the operator will generate recurring, high‑margin rental revenue for AITX, reinforcing the company’s shift toward a subscription‑style device‑rental model that has become a core part of its growth strategy.

While the contract signals strong commercial traction, AITX’s broader financial picture remains challenging. The company continues to report large losses, negative equity, and significant cash burn, which temper the impact of the new order on overall profitability. Nevertheless, the recurring revenue stream from the expansion is a step toward improving cash flow and reducing reliance on debt financing.

Troy McCanna, Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Security Officer of RAD, said the expansion “aligns with the original plan to scale after the system proves itself in real‑world conditions.” CEO Steve Reinharz added that the win “highlights the growing demand for autonomous security solutions and supports our focus on execution.”

The $50 billion security market is highly competitive, with better‑capitalized rivals offering traditional manned guarding services. AITX’s autonomous platform, powered by SARA’s hybrid edge‑and‑cloud architecture, offers a cost‑effective alternative that can capture market share in high‑traffic, high‑value environments. The new order strengthens AITX’s position in this space and signals that its technology is gaining traction among large, complex operators.
