AITX and its subsidiary Robotic Assistance Devices announced the launch of RADSight 2.0, a next‑generation video‑management system that will power the company’s Gen 4 autonomous security robots and any ONVIF‑compliant camera. The platform introduces a new software core that delivers faster response times, higher efficiency, and a future‑ready foundation for edge‑AI workloads.

The new core runs on NVIDIA‑powered Gen 4 hardware, enabling on‑device analytics and real‑time decision making. It also leverages Amazon Web Services for cloud coordination and machine‑learning model updates. The update cuts power consumption by more than 50 % and extends battery life on mobile units such as the RIO, allowing longer patrols without recharging. By running the SARA agentic AI platform directly at the edge, the system can detect and respond to threats without relying on cloud connectivity, improving speed and resilience in low‑bandwidth environments.

The launch comes at a time when the U.S. security and guarding services industry is valued at nearly $50 billion. AITX’s AI‑driven solutions promise cost savings of 35‑80 % compared with traditional manned guarding, positioning the company to capture a growing share of the autonomous security market. The new platform is expected to roll out in February across the existing Gen 4 device portfolio, reinforcing AITX’s strategy to scale its software‑as‑a‑service model and deepen customer adoption.

CEO Steve Reinharz said the company is “shifting from hardware to software, and the new platform is a key milestone in that transition.” He added that the company’s focus on “intelligence that can be adopted faster and operate reliably at scale” will help it win new contracts and accelerate revenue growth.

While the company continues to invest heavily in product development and market expansion, it faces ongoing cash burn and negative equity. Nevertheless, the RADSight 2.0 launch is a critical step toward achieving the company’s long‑term vision of leading the AI‑driven security market.
