Amrize Ltd. has expanded its ‘Made in America’ labeling program to nine U.S. cement plants, adding four new facilities in Ada, Oklahoma; Alpena, Michigan; Joppa, Illinois; and Paulding, Ohio. The program was launched in November 2025 at five plants—Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; Midlothian, Texas; Devil’s Slide, Utah; Holly Hill, South Carolina; and Portland, Colorado—so the expansion brings the total to nine.

The move is part of a $900 million investment plan for 2026, underscoring Amrize’s commitment to domestic production. The company is America’s top cement producer, operating 13 plants and 600 sites, with revenue of $11.8 billion in 2025 and $11.7 billion in 2024. The labeling program aligns with federal initiatives such as Build America, Buy America, and reflects the growing trend of builders prioritizing domestic materials.

All nine plants source raw materials, process, and manufacture cement entirely within the United States, meeting rigorous U.S. performance standards. While cement is excluded from some Buy America requirements, the program demonstrates Amrize’s adherence to high quality and local sourcing. Adding four facilities increases overall production capacity and strengthens the company’s supply‑chain resilience.

Patrick Cleary, Amrize Senior Vice President of U.S. Cement and Supply Chain, said, "As America's builders prioritize domestic materials, our 'Made in America' label offers our customers the confidence of U.S. performance standards along with reliable supply at scale, while supporting local jobs and communities." President Jaime Hill added, "This expansion further strengthens our market‑leading plant, and we are proud to be increasing our domestic manufacturing to deliver quality and reliability as the partner of choice for our customers, while supporting local jobs and communities."

The expansion addresses concerns about declining domestic cement production and a 22% reliance on foreign imports in 2024. By expanding its domestic footprint, Amrize positions itself as a reliable partner for federally funded infrastructure projects and taps into the growing demand for American‑made materials.
