Aris Mining Corporation announced that the new surface decline at its Marmato gold mine in Colombia has been connected to the existing underground development via a cross‑cut on April 17 2026. The breakthrough establishes continuous underground access from the surface to the mine’s main haulage circuit, a critical step for the planned 5,000‑tonne‑per‑day carbon‑in‑pulp (CIP) plant and bulk‑mining operations.

The milestone comes after Marmato produced 29,000 ounces of gold in 2025 and is projected to generate 35–50 k ounces in 2026, with production weighted toward the second half of the year as the CIP plant comes online. Aris’s overall production in 2025 was approximately 257,000 ounces, and the company is guiding for 300–350 k ounces in 2026, reflecting the combined output of Marmato and Segovia.

The connection aligns with Aris’s strategy to deliver about 500,000 ounces of gold per year by 2026, combining Marmato’s expansion with the Segovia mine’s ramp‑up. The company’s long‑term goal is to reach one million ounces annually, and the Marmato milestone removes a key execution risk by simplifying the development sequence and accelerating the path to the first gold pour in Q4 2026.

Management highlighted that the on‑schedule connection of the new surface decline to the existing underground development is a major milestone for Marmato and an important step in delivering the expansion plans. As development continues to advance, Marmato, together with Segovia, remains on track to deliver approximately 500,000 ounces of gold per year following expansion and ramp‑up.

Beyond Marmato, Aris is advancing other projects, including the completion of a second mill at Segovia in June 2025 and the submission of environmental studies for Soto Norte in Colombia. The company also anticipates a construction decision for Toroparu in Guyana early in 2027, positioning it to achieve its one‑million‑ounce target over the next few years.
