Atkore Inc. announced on April 8 2026 that it had completed the sale of its High‑Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and conduit business to Infra Pipes, a North American leader in polyethylene pipeline solutions. The transaction transferred five HDPE manufacturing facilities—located in Lovelady, TX; Woodburn, OR; Allendale, SC; Albuquerque, NM; and Springfield, MO—to Infra Pipes and included a $28 million capital contribution from Atkore. In return, Atkore received a 10% equity stake in the combined entity.

The sale is part of Atkore’s ongoing strategic review, allowing the company to focus on its core electrical conduit and safety & infrastructure segments. Infra Pipes gains a broader product portfolio and expanded manufacturing capacity across the United States and Canada. Atkore expects the transaction to be accretive to its Adjusted EBITDA margins and Return on Invested Capital, reinforcing its commitment to disciplined portfolio management.

In its Q1 2026 results, Atkore reported net sales of $655.5 million, a 0.9% decline year‑over‑year, and adjusted net income per diluted share of $0.83, down $0.80 from the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA fell $30.0 million to $69.1 million. The divestiture is intended to improve financial performance by shedding a lower‑margin segment and concentrating resources on higher‑margin electrical products.

"The sale of the HDPE business is part of our ongoing strategic review process, and reflects our commitment to disciplined portfolio management," said Bill Waltz, Atkore President and CEO. "We also expect this transaction to be accretive to Atkore's overall financial profile for certain key metrics such as Adjusted EBITDA margins and Return on Invested Capital. This transaction further enhances our focus on driving growth around key electrical product offerings, targeted customers and strategic markets."

Infra Pipes operates six manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. The acquisition of Atkore’s HDPE assets expands Infra Pipes’ capacity and product range, positioning it as a more dominant player in the North American polyethylene pipeline solutions market.

The announcement was well received by investors, reflecting confidence in Atkore’s strategic focus and the anticipated financial benefits of the transaction.
