Axos Bank has entered into a partnership with Priority Rollfi, a subsidiary of Priority Technology Holdings, to embed API‑based payroll and benefits technology directly into its commercial banking platform. The integration will let business clients process payroll, automate tax compliance, and manage employee benefits without leaving the bank’s digital ecosystem.

The move is part of Axos’s broader strategy to become a one‑stop solution for commercial customers. By offering back‑office services such as payroll and benefits, the bank aims to increase client stickiness and generate new fee‑based revenue streams. The partnership also positions Axos against competitors that rely on third‑party vendors for these functions, giving the bank a more seamless experience for its commercial clients.

Axos’s digital expansion has already included the acquisition of Verdant Commercial Capital in September 2025, which added $1.1 billion in equipment‑leasing loans and broadened the bank’s commercial lending portfolio. The Rollfi partnership builds on that momentum, extending the bank’s product suite into essential business operations and creating cross‑sell opportunities across its commercial client base.

Christian Santaniello, EVP of Commercial Deposits and Treasury Management, said the partnership “strengthens the digital experience for our commercial banking customers. By partnering with Rollfi, we are advancing our goal of providing modern, integrated solutions that make back‑office management faster, easier, and more efficient.”

The embedded payroll and benefits platform is expected to generate fee‑based income and deepen relationships with existing clients, while also attracting new businesses that seek a consolidated banking and operational solution. The partnership aligns with Axos’s focus on technology‑driven growth and positions the bank to capture a larger share of the commercial banking market.
