Alibaba Group Holding Limited announced the launch of Accio Work on March 23 2026. The new platform builds on the Accio B2B sourcing engine that debuted in November 2024 and already serves more than 10 million monthly active users. Accio Work automates complex business operations for small and medium‑sized enterprises, handling VAT and customs paperwork in over 100 markets, running RFQs, and managing supplier negotiations through specialized autonomous agents.

Accio Work is part of Alibaba’s international commerce division and leverages the company’s Qwen family of large‑language models and Alibaba Cloud infrastructure. The launch reflects Alibaba’s full‑stack AI strategy, which integrates proprietary chips, foundation models, and enterprise applications. By offering a no‑code, autonomous AI solution, Alibaba aims to broaden its AI product portfolio and capture new revenue streams beyond its core e‑commerce and cloud businesses.

The platform targets the SME segment, a market that often lacks the resources for complex AI deployments. By lowering the barrier to entry, Accio Work positions Alibaba to compete with Tencent’s agentic AI offerings and open‑source agents such as OpenClaw. The launch aligns with Alibaba’s recent triple‑digit growth in its Cloud Intelligence Group and its goal of $100 billion combined cloud and AI revenue within five years, even as the company’s net income has declined due to heavy investment in AI capabilities.

Kuo Zhang, President of Alibaba.com and Vice President of Alibaba International, said, "Our vision is to democratize enterprise‑grade AI. We want every entrepreneur—regardless of team size—to access an intelligent workforce that operates with the scale of a major corporation. Small businesses will find Accio Work especially useful."

Accio Work differentiates itself by focusing on specialized B2B agents for high‑stakes operations, emphasizing control and security within Alibaba’s ecosystem. It competes with Tencent’s agentic AI products and other emerging AI agents, positioning Alibaba as a leader in enterprise‑grade autonomous solutions.

Alibaba has recently consolidated its AI operations under a new unit, Alibaba Token Hub, led by CEO Eddie Wu, to streamline development and accelerate monetization of its AI platform portfolio.
