Bank of America and Alaska Air Group have extended their co‑branded credit‑card partnership for multiple years, making BAC the exclusive issuer of the Atmos Rewards program’s cards.
The renewal introduces the Summit Visa Infinite® card, a new premium offering that delivers a 25,000‑point Global Companion Award, eight Alaska Lounge day passes each year, and enhanced foreign‑transaction rewards. BAC is also investing in expanded lounge access and other benefits to deepen the integration between the airline and the bank.
Alaska Air Group expects the extension to accelerate loyalty‑program growth beyond the incremental $150 million profit outlined in its Alaska Accelerate strategy. The partnership, which has spanned more than three decades, now positions the airline to leverage the combined loyalty platform as it integrates Hawaiian Airlines and expands international service.
For Bank of America, the deal strengthens its consumer banking and rewards business, providing cross‑sell opportunities and higher‑margin card revenue. The extension aligns with the bank’s broader strategy to revamp its BofA Rewards program and capture additional wallet share from frequent travelers and high‑spending customers.
Ben Minicucci, Alaska Air Group CEO, said, "Bank of America has been a foundational partner to Alaska's growth over the last few decades. Together, we have helped us build the airline industry's most generous and valuable loyalty program. Extending this partnership will mean even greater benefits for cardholders, taking them further as Alaska and Hawaiian expand across the globe." Dean Athanasia, Co‑President of Bank of America, added, "Alaska Air Group has been an exceptional partner for more than three decades, and this extension reflects our shared commitment to delivering meaningful value for cardholders. Together, we're investing in innovation, enhancing the cardholder experience, and supporting the continued growth of the Atmos Rewards platform — while creating long‑term value for both companies."
