Beam Global announced a record‑setting $1.7 million in smart‑city infrastructure orders secured within a single week by its Beam Europe division. The contracts cover Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Italy and include both infrastructure and power‑electronics solutions, doubling the company’s strongest single‑week order volume from 2025.

The new orders reinforce Beam Global’s strategy to shift away from U.S. federal contracts toward commercial and international markets. Commercial revenue now represents 82 % of the company’s Q3 2025 total revenue, up from 48 % in Q3 2024 and 67 % year‑to‑date 2025 versus 31 % year‑to‑date 2024, underscoring the growing importance of its commercial portfolio.

Beam Global’s Q3 2025 financials showed a 50 % year‑over‑year revenue decline, a net loss and a negative gross margin of –1 %. The new European orders provide a tangible indicator that the company’s diversification strategy is beginning to generate tangible revenue, though profitability remains a challenge as the firm works to absorb fixed overhead and improve gross margins.

CEO Desmond Wheatley said, “Our robust and intelligent products provide energy savings and security at a time when volatility and vulnerability in traditional infrastructure are high.” He added that the contracts demonstrate the platform’s ability to deliver resilient infrastructure in urban environments and that the company’s growth strategy of product and geographic expansion is “well underway.”

The $1.7 million in orders is roughly double the strongest single‑week order volume recorded in 2025 and represents a significant step toward improving Beam Global’s backlog, which stood at $8 million at the end of Q3 2025. While the company still faces headwinds from a declining revenue base and negative gross margins, the new contracts signal momentum in its European smart‑city market and support the company’s long‑term shift toward commercial, international growth.
