Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. (BEP) reported record funds from operations of $375 million, or $0.55 per unit, a 19% year‑over‑year increase. Revenue for the quarter was $1.51 billion, in line with analyst expectations. Earnings per unit were a loss of $0.40, missing the consensus estimate of a $0.36 loss.

The record FFO growth was driven by a $210 million increase in hydro‑electric performance, supported by strong generation in Canada and Colombia and higher pricing in Brazil. Wind and solar segments also contributed robustly, benefiting from inflation‑linked contracts and favorable market conditions.

BEP generated $2.8 billion in proceeds from asset sales and deployed $2.2 billion in new growth capital, including the acquisition of Boralex, which adds more than 4,000 MW of operating and under‑construction assets and an 8,000 MW development pipeline.

The company reaffirmed its 2026 guidance, maintaining its long‑term targets of 12%‑15% annualized returns, 10%+ FFO growth, and 5%‑9% distribution increases per unit.

Investors responded positively, citing the strong FFO performance and the strategic Boralex acquisition as key drivers, while the EPS miss was offset by the company’s robust cash flow and capital recycling program.

The results underscore BEP’s ability to generate cash, fund expansion without dilutive equity, and maintain a strong liquidity position of $4.7 billion, supporting continued dividend growth and long‑term value creation.
