Brenmiller Energy Ltd. (NASDAQ:BNRG) announced the commercial launch of its next‑generation bGen ONE™ thermal energy storage system on February 11 2026, marking a key milestone in the company’s 2030 Technology Roadmap. The new design delivers more than 50 % performance improvement and cuts system costs by 50‑60 % compared with the current 600 °C benchmark, thanks to higher operating temperatures of up to 1,500 °C.

The bGen ONE™ platform is engineered to make thermal energy storage (TES) a cost‑competitive alternative to natural gas for high‑temperature industrial processes. By shifting 25 % of the traditional engineering, procurement, and construction scope into Brenmiller’s factory‑built manufacturing operations, the company expects to reduce on‑site labor and construction scope by over 50 %. This factory‑built approach also improves project predictability and execution risk, which are critical barriers to wider TES adoption.

Brenmiller’s financial history shows consistent losses—negative earnings per share of –$52.73 and a fiscal‑year 2024 loss of $6.8 million—yet the company’s market capitalization remains modest at roughly $1.75 million. The bGen ONE™ launch is therefore a strategic effort to accelerate revenue growth and improve margins by offering a more affordable, high‑temperature solution that can capture a larger share of the growing industrial decarbonization market, where electrified, on‑demand steam is in high demand.

CEO and Chairman Avi Brenmiller emphasized the launch’s significance, stating, “bGen ONE demonstrates that we are delivering on our roadmap by reducing installed cost and enabling TES to compete in industrial heat applications where natural gas remains the default.” He added that the new system “will help customers transition to cleaner, electrified heat while maintaining performance and cost advantages.”

The launch aligns with Brenmiller’s broader strategy, including the January 2026 introduction of the BNRG360 integrated energy platform, which bundles clean heat and power solutions. Together, these initiatives signal the company’s intent to move beyond equipment supply toward becoming a long‑term energy collaborator for industrial customers.
