CAAP announced that it has received a payment of US$91,205,056 from the Republic of Peru, the proceeds of an arbitration award issued by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) on May 9, 2024.

The award was granted after the tribunal found that Peru’s termination of the Chinchero International Airport concession was arbitrary and unjustified. CAAP holds an indirect 50% equity stake in Sociedad Aeroportuaria Kuntur Wasi S.A., the entity that received the payment, and will recognize its share of the proceeds after taxes and related costs.

The cash inflow comes at a time when CAAP is reporting strong operational momentum. In 2024 the company served 79.0 million passengers and in 2025 it grew to 86.7 million, a 9.8% year‑over‑year increase. Consolidated revenues for Q3 2025 rose 16.6% to US$472.1 million, and adjusted EBITDA expanded 5.2 percentage points to 41.2% of revenue, underscoring the firm’s ability to generate healthy operating leverage across its six‑country portfolio.

The arbitration award provides a substantial non‑operating cash inflow that will reinforce CAAP’s liquidity position, which stood at US$661 million in Q3 2025, and reduce net debt to US$579 million. Management indicated that the proceeds will be used to support ongoing capital projects, including the expansion of the Chinchero airport and the acquisition of new airport concessions, thereby sustaining the company’s growth strategy.

CEO Martín Eurnekian said the payment “reflects the outcome of a long‑standing process conducted within the established international arbitration framework, and represents an important step toward bringing this matter to a conclusion, making it clear that CAAP complied with all its contractual obligations.”
