Seabourn, the luxury arm of Carnival Corporation & plc, has added a new eight‑day pre‑cruise journey to its Alaska itineraries. The “Denali Experience” will run during the 2027 and 2028 cruise seasons and takes guests from Anchorage into the interior of Denali National Park and Preserve before they board their ship.
The program begins with a scenic rail ride from Anchorage, followed by guided tours of the park’s dramatic landscapes, wildlife encounters at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and stays in four‑star hotels and resorts. Daily meals and seamless transportation—including airport transfers—are included as part of the all‑inclusive package.
Seabourn’s move is designed to deepen the luxury experience for travelers who seek immersive, nature‑centric adventures. By offering a land‑based extension that complements its existing Alaska voyages, the line can command higher pricing and encourage greater onboard spending, strengthening its competitive position within Carnival’s portfolio.
Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn, said, “We are thrilled to offer The Denali Experience as an extension of our Alaska voyages. This Seabourn Journey allows guests to explore Alaska’s interior in a deeper and more meaningful way, combining immersive, destination‑focused experiences with the intuitive and personalized service they expect from Seabourn. It is a natural complement to the voyage and offers another way to experience the extraordinary landscapes of The Great Land.”
Seabourn operates a fleet of six all‑suite ships that emphasize intimate, yacht‑like service. The company has a long history of Alaska itineraries, and the Denali extension will complement its 2027 Alaska offerings, which include four distinct itineraries on the Seabourn Encore. The launch aligns with broader industry trends toward experiential luxury travel, where guests prioritize enrichment and personalized service over traditional port‑to‑port cruising.
Pricing and specific cruise departures for the Denali Experience have not been disclosed at this time.
