Ceva launched its next‑generation Ceva‑Waves UWB IP, the first IEEE 802.15.4ab‑compliant Ultra‑Wideband solution. The new IP delivers up to 30‑times extended ranging and four‑times faster data rates, enabling secure access, positioning, radar sensing and high‑performance data applications across consumer, automotive and industrial systems.

The launch positions Ceva at the forefront of the Physical AI wave, where location, motion and context are critical. By integrating the UWB IP with its existing Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, cellular IoT and 5G cores, as well as its edge AI processors, Ceva offers customers a fully integrated multi‑protocol SoC that can accelerate the development of next‑generation AI‑enabled devices.

Industry analysts project UWB adoption to grow from 563 million units in 2025 to over 1.4 billion annually by 2030, a 21% CAGR. Ceva’s early entry into the 802.15.4ab standard is expected to capture a significant share of this expanding market, potentially creating new royalty streams and reinforcing the company’s competitive moat in wireless connectivity.

Ceva’s Q4 2025 results underscored the company’s momentum. Revenue rose 10% sequentially to $31.3 million and 7% year‑over‑year to $109.6 million for the full year, driven by strong demand for its AI licensing and connectivity solutions. Licensing revenue grew 6% to $63.6 million, while royalty revenue reached $46.0 million. Non‑GAAP operating margins expanded to 18% in Q4, and non‑GAAP net income grew 20% year‑over‑year, reflecting disciplined cost management and a favorable mix shift toward higher‑margin AI and connectivity contracts.

Management highlighted the UWB launch as a key driver of future growth. “With our IEEE 802.15.4ab‑compliant Ceva‑Waves UWB IP, we are delivering a step‑function improvement in range and throughput while preserving power and area efficiency,” said Tal Shalev, VP and GM of Wireless IoT Business Unit. The company guided for 8‑12% revenue growth and a 35‑40% increase in profit for 2026, signaling confidence in continued demand for its integrated connectivity and AI platforms.

Ceva’s licensing strategy positions the new UWB IP for rapid adoption. The IP is available for licensing, and early validation and test solutions are being provided by LitePoint, a leading UWB test equipment vendor. The company’s integrated multi‑protocol SoC, combining UWB with Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, cellular IoT, 5G and AI processors, offers a compelling value proposition for device manufacturers seeking to embed secure, high‑performance connectivity and AI capabilities in a single silicon solution.

The UWB launch aligns with Ceva’s broader strategy to capitalize on the growing smart‑edge market, which accounted for 86% of total revenue in 2025. By delivering precise location and sensing capabilities, the new IP strengthens Ceva’s position in the Physical AI space and supports the company’s goal of becoming a leading provider of end‑to‑end connectivity and AI solutions for consumer, automotive and industrial applications.
