ChargePoint Holdings and UK destination‑charging operator RAW Charging have announced a multiyear partnership that will see more than 300 new DC fast‑charging stations installed across the United Kingdom. The deal includes a $7.5 million commitment from ChargePoint and the use of its hardware, software platform and Assure Pro maintenance service at every new site.
The deployment will focus on hospitality, leisure and retail venues, where drivers can charge while they shop, dine or stay. RAW Charging currently operates 974 charge points nationwide, so the new chargers will increase its network to over 1,200 points, expanding coverage in key growth corridors.
ChargePoint’s investment is part of a broader strategy to grow its global network through technology licensing and service agreements rather than direct ownership. By partnering with a local operator that already has a strong presence in destination locations, ChargePoint can accelerate rollout while keeping capital deployment lower.
The partnership comes as the UK government pushes toward a 2035 ban on new petrol and diesel cars, creating a surge in demand for fast‑charging infrastructure. Analysts note that the expansion aligns with the country’s target of 30,000 public chargers by 2025 and the expected rise in EV registrations.
ChargePoint reported Q3 FY2026 revenue of $105.7 million, a 6 % year‑over‑year increase, while GAAP net loss widened to $52.5 million. The revenue growth was driven by higher subscription and service revenue, offset by continued investment in network expansion and technology development. The company will release its Q4 FY2026 results on March 4.
CEO Rick Wilmer said, “We are excited to support RAW Charging with the solutions they need to expand their business and uphold their reputation for a superior charging experience. By collaborating with RAW Charging, we’re combining proven technology with operational excellence to ensure UK drivers have fast, dependable charging wherever they go.” CEO Jason Simpson added, “As the UK’s leading CPO dedicated to hospitality, leisure and retail we are committed to providing seamless charging for the millions of visitors to our world class destinations.”
The deal positions ChargePoint to capture a larger share of the UK’s rapidly growing EV charging market while reinforcing its presence in Europe. It also signals confidence in the long‑term trajectory of electric vehicle adoption and the continued need for high‑density fast‑charging solutions.
