Spectrum announced a new Multiview capability on March 16, 2026 that lets subscribers view up to four NCAA men’s or women’s basketball games at the same time during tournament play, eliminating the need to switch channels for key moments.
The feature is available on a range of devices, including Xumo Stream Box, Xumo TV, Apple TV, Roku, Xbox, and major smart TVs, giving fans flexibility across platforms.
The launch coincides with NCAA selection Sunday, providing a convenient way for fans to follow multiple games during the tournament. It is part of Spectrum’s broader strategy to compete with streaming services and other cable providers that lack simultaneous multi‑game viewing.
By offering a flexible viewing experience, Spectrum aims to strengthen its competitive position, reduce churn, and attract new subscribers. The feature aligns with Charter’s focus on converged broadband, WiFi, and mobile experiences.
Elena Ritchie, Senior Vice President, Video Product, said, "The NCAA Tournament is the perfect time for basketball fans to experience the thrill of multiple games at once," and "Multiview is all about making it easier for customers to catch every highlight and stay connected to the action."
Xfinity also offers a similar Multiview capability for the NCAA tournaments, indicating that the feature is becoming a differentiator in the pay‑TV market.
Spectrum plans to extend Multiview to other major sports events later in 2026, including NHL and NBA playoffs, the World Cup, college football, and NFL games, leveraging the technology across its sports portfolio.
Charter reported Q4 2025 revenue of $13.6 billion, down 2.3% YoY, and EPS of $10.34, slightly below consensus of $10.40 but above other estimates of $10.17. Adjusted EBITDA was $5.7 billion, a 1.2% decline YoY. The company is also pursuing a combination with Cox Communications, which could influence future growth.
The Multiview launch positions Spectrum to better serve sports fans and compete in a crowded market, while the company continues to navigate a challenging revenue environment and strategic partnership opportunities.
