Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has added six new renewable natural gas (RNG) fueling stations, bringing its total network to more than 600 locations nationwide. The new sites are located in California, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Washington, positioning the company along key freight corridors that serve the U.S. heavy‑duty trucking market.

The expansion is designed to meet the growing demand for price‑stable, low‑carbon fuel as diesel prices remain high and volatile. By adding fast‑fill dispensers in these strategic corridors, Clean Energy Fuels can provide fleets with reliable access to RNG, helping them reduce operating costs while cutting emissions.

The rollout also supports the adoption of Cummins’ X15N 15‑liter natural gas engine, which has become a key enabler for long‑haul trucking on RNG. With the engine now available from multiple OEMs, the new stations give fleets a clear path to transition to RNG without compromising performance or range.

Clean Energy Fuels’ integrated RNG strategy relies on dairy‑derived methane captured at partner farms. The new stations increase the number of points of sale for this dairy‑derived RNG and boost the volume of environmental credits generated at each dispensing point, reinforcing the company’s commitment to a circular, low‑carbon fuel supply chain. The company is now led by CEO Clay Corbus, who took the helm on April 23, 2026, following the departure of Andrew Littlefair.

"With diesel prices remaining very high and volatile, it's perfect timing to expand our offering of a price‑stable, low‑cost fuel for fleets who want to cut their carbon emissions, but do it affordably," said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president of Clean Energy Fuels. "With the addition of these new RNG stations in key freight corridors, and with the Cummins X15N now available from multiple OEMs, fleets won't have to think twice about adopting the only viable alternative today."
