Celestica announced that its new DS6000‑Series 1.6TbE switches are now available for order. Powered by Broadcom’s Tomahawk 6 silicon, the switches deliver up to 102.4 Tbps of non‑blocking switching capacity and feature 64 ports of 1.6TbE (OSFP224) connectivity. Two form factors are offered: an air‑cooled 3RU DS6000 for standard 19‑inch racks and a hybrid‑cooled 2OU DS6001 designed for 21‑inch OCP ORv3 environments.

The launch follows Celestica’s Q1 2026 results, in which the company reported $4.05 billion in revenue—an increase of 53% year‑over‑year—and a record adjusted operating margin of 8.0%. The Connectivity & Cloud Solutions segment, which drives the bulk of the company’s growth, generated $3.24 billion in revenue, up 76% YoY. These figures underscore the strategic importance of the DS6000‑Series as part of Celestica’s plan to expand high‑margin Hardware Platform Solutions and capture the expanding hyperscaler market.

The DS6000‑Series addresses bandwidth bottlenecks in large AI training clusters by providing high‑density 1.6TbE optical interconnects and supporting open standards such as the Ultra Ethernet Consortium and the Open Compute Project Ethernet Scale‑up Network specifications. Being among the first vendors to ship systems powered by Tomahawk 6 silicon gives Celestica a competitive edge in the rapidly growing AI infrastructure market.

Gavin Cato, SVP & GM of AI Platform Engineering, said the move to 1.6TbE networking represents a monumental leap in data‑center evolution and that engineering teams worked to ensure the DS6000‑Series is the definitive choice for the AI era. The launch supports the company’s raised full‑year 2026 outlook of $19.0 billion in revenue and $10.15 in adjusted EPS, reflecting confidence in scaling AI‑platform monetization.

With the DS6000‑Series, Celestica is positioned to capture a larger share of the high‑margin data‑center infrastructure market, leveraging strong demand from hyperscalers and AI workloads. The product launch, combined with robust Q1 results, signals continued momentum and reinforces the company’s strategic focus on AI infrastructure.
