CenterPoint Energy announced a long‑term supply agreement with Resilient Structures, a manufacturer of high‑performance composite utility poles, to support its Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative. The deal will provide a dedicated, locally sourced stream of poles for the company’s $3.2 billion System Resiliency Plan, which aims to harden the grid against extreme weather and reduce outage minutes by one billion over the next decade.

The agreement includes an expansion of Resilient Structures’ Humble, Texas facility, creating more than 200 new jobs in the Houston area. By shortening the supply chain and ensuring timely delivery of poles, CenterPoint can accelerate the deployment of storm‑hardened structures across its 12‑county service territory, a key component of its strategy to eliminate regulatory lag and capture the benefits of Texas legislation such as HB 4384 and SB 1963.

This supply agreement is a material operational milestone that supports CenterPoint’s focus on Texas, its largest market, and its broader goal of transforming the company into a pure‑play on the fastest‑growing electricity market in the United States. The partnership also reinforces CenterPoint’s commitment to local economic development and positions the company to meet its capital deployment targets for the 2026‑2028 resiliency plan.
