Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) has certified 14 new Site‑Ready industrial locations across six U.S. states, three Canadian provinces and two Mexican states, adding more than 6,600 acres of immediately developable land to its portfolio. The certification was announced on March 12 2026 and brings the total number of Site‑Ready sites to 22, following the addition of nine sites in April 2025.
The program is delivered in partnership with engineering and construction leader Burns & McDonnell, whose expertise in site selection, engineering and construction ensures each location is versatile, scalable and ready for long‑term industrial use. The collaboration allows CPKC to offer shovel‑ready sites that can be developed quickly, reducing lead times for manufacturers and logistics operators.
CPKC’s “Room to Grow” strategy uses these Site‑Ready locations to expand its rail‑served industrial footprint and reinforce its competitive advantage as the only single‑line trans‑continental network spanning Canada, the United States and Mexico. By providing pre‑certified, rail‑connected sites, the company can attract new customers, increase freight volumes and improve service reliability along key corridors.
