Freightos announced that Ethiopian Cargo will join its WebCargo booking platform at the end of March 2026, adding digital rates, quoting, eBooking, WebCargo Pay, and interlining capabilities to the carrier’s extensive air‑cargo network.

Ethiopian Cargo operates Africa’s largest air‑cargo network, serving more than 145 destinations worldwide through dedicated freighters and passenger belly capacity. The partnership gives Freightos forwarders real‑time access to African‑origin capacity on key global trade lanes, strengthening the platform’s network effects and liquidity.

Freightos’ recent financial performance shows continued revenue growth but persistent losses. Q4 2025 revenue rose 12% to $7.4 million, and full‑year 2025 revenue increased 24% to $29.5 million. Gross margins were 64.1% (IFRS) and 72.7% (non‑IFRS) in Q4, slightly lower than the prior year, while full‑year gross margins improved to 66.8% (IFRS) and 73.7% (non‑IFRS). The company reported an IFRS loss of $3.8 million in Q4 and $17.5 million for the year, with a cash balance of $27.9 million at year‑end.

Management highlighted that foreign‑exchange headwinds have pressured Adjusted EBITDA from the second quarter onward, but the company’s burn rate remains unchanged and the cash position supports its plans to reach breakeven by the end of 2026. "We delivered fourth quarter results in line with guidance. For full year 2025, revenue grew 24%, and although foreign exchange headwinds pressured Adjusted EBITDA from the second quarter onward, our burn rate was unaffected and we ended the year with a cash position that fully funds our plans and enables us to reach breakeven by the end of 2026 as anticipated," said CFO and interim CEO Pablo Pinillos.

Looking ahead, Freightos guided for Q1 2026 revenue of $7.4 million to $7.5 million and full‑year 2026 revenue of $31.2 million to $32.8 million, with transaction growth and gross booking value growth projected at 18% to 20%. Pinillos added that 2026 is a transition year focused on solution adoption, positioning the company for higher growth in 2027 and beyond.

The Ethiopian Cargo integration aligns with Freightos’ strategy to grow its digital marketplace in emerging markets and to deepen its presence in high‑growth regions. By adding a carrier with a vast African network, Freightos enhances its platform’s appeal to carriers and shippers, reinforcing its competitive position in the global freight marketplace.
