Freightos Limited announced that Air Serbia will join its digital cargo booking platform, adding the carrier’s European and American routes to the marketplace. The move expands Freightos’ airline network and deepens the reach of its Freightos Pay payment solution, which now allows forwarders—regardless of IATA accreditation—to transact with Air Serbia’s services.
Air Serbia operates a cargo network that serves more than 60 destinations worldwide and offers road‑feeder services in the United States, China and the Balkans. The partnership gives Freightos forwarders access to key niche markets, including Zagreb, Podgorica, Tbilisi, Tirana, Sarajevo and Skopje, and extends the carrier’s presence on routes to Albania, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland.
Freightos Pay, the company’s guaranteed digital payment platform, will now process transactions for Air Serbia shipments. This capability removes a major barrier for forwarders who lack IATA accreditation, enabling them to book and pay for cargo through Freightos with the same confidence and security as larger carriers.
Freightos’ most recent quarterly results provide context for the partnership’s significance. In Q4 2025 the company generated $7.4 million in revenue, up 12% year‑over‑year, and posted a non‑IFRS gross margin of 72.7%. Full‑year 2025 revenue reached $29.5 million, a 24% increase, with a non‑IFRS gross margin of 73.7%. Adjusted EBITDA was negative $2.7 million in Q4 and negative $11.2 million for the year, but the company ended 2025 with $27.9 million in cash, positioning it to reach breakeven by the end of 2026. Segment data show platform revenue grew 13% YoY in Q4 and 18% for the full year, while solutions revenue rose 12% in Q4 and 27% for the year.
Management highlighted that 2026 will be a transition year focused on solution adoption. The company is channeling resources into embedding its software into forwarders’ daily workflows, which is expected to drive organic platform bookings and amplify network effects. The Air Serbia partnership aligns with this strategy by expanding the carrier network and reinforcing the value proposition of Freightos Pay, thereby positioning Freightos for higher growth in 2027 and beyond.
The partnership strengthens Freightos’ position as a digital freight‑commerce platform, broadening its route coverage, enhancing payment capabilities, and reinforcing the network effect that underpins its growth strategy. By adding Air Serbia, Freightos not only expands its geographic reach but also deepens its integration with carriers that serve key emerging markets, supporting the company’s goal of becoming the digital infrastructure for the global freight industry.
