Cirrus Logic announced a new family of industrial imaging integrated circuits, the CS82L41, CS82L44, and CS82L46, designed for high‑precision scanning systems used in office scanners, home scanners, industrial flatbeds and machine‑vision platforms.
The new analog front‑end solutions feature a redesigned SAR ADC architecture that delivers faster scan times and improved system efficiency, and they integrate LED driver functionality to reduce component count and power consumption for OEMs.
By adding this product line, Cirrus Logic is broadening its addressable market beyond its traditional audio and mixed‑signal segments, a move aimed at reducing concentration risk after the company’s Q3 FY26 revenue was 94% tied to Apple. The industrial imaging market is growing as digital imaging hardware is adopted across commercial and industrial segments.
Jonny Whyte, Product Marketing Manager for Industrial Applications, said, “Across the imaging market, customers are under pressure to deliver greater precision without adding system complexity, especially as scanning platforms become more connected, data‑driven, and intelligent. Our new industrial imaging ICs solve this need by delivering precision analog performance and ultra‑low‑latency conversion in an integrated solution.”
The announcement coincided with Cirrus Logic’s Q3 FY26 earnings, which saw revenue rise to $580.6 million and EPS of $2.97, both beating analyst estimates. The company’s stock reached an all‑time high of $162.79 on the day of the launch, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s diversification strategy.
The new IC family positions Cirrus Logic to capture a growing industrial imaging market, potentially adding a new revenue stream that complements its core audio business. While the product line is still early in its market life, the strategic move signals the company’s intent to build a more resilient, diversified portfolio.
