DoorDash has added SNAP/EBT payment capability to almost 2,700 Kroger Family of Companies stores, including Mariano’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs and Harris Teeter. The new feature lets millions of SNAP‑eligible consumers shop groceries online and have them delivered through DoorDash, with a $0 delivery fee on the first order when paying with an EBT card. The promotion is available for a limited time through June 15, 2026.

The launch expands DoorDash’s grocery and retail vertical by tapping an underserved market segment. More than 4.5 million consumers have added their SNAP card to DoorDash, and the platform now supports over 57,000 stores that accept SNAP/EBT payments. By enabling online grocery delivery for SNAP recipients, DoorDash is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the growing grocery‑delivery market.

DoorDash’s Q4 2025 results underscored the momentum behind this expansion. The company reported revenue of $4.0 billion, a 38% year‑over‑year increase, and GAAP net income of $213 million. Adjusted EBITDA reached $780 million, and 30% of U.S. monthly active users engaged with the grocery and retail categories in December. These figures illustrate the strong demand and growth potential that DoorDash seeks to leverage through its new SNAP/EBT partnership.

Mike Goldblatt, Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships, said, “Access to affordable food is fundamental. This collaboration with Kroger marks an important step forward for SNAP access nationwide. Together, we’re helping millions of consumers shop more conveniently for the groceries their households rely on every day.” The partnership aligns with DoorDash’s broader goal of increasing its share of the grocery‑delivery market and supports its strategy of adding high‑margin, non‑delivery revenue streams such as advertising and subscription services.

DoorDash has been expanding SNAP/EBT acceptance across retailers since June 2023, and the Kroger launch is a significant milestone in that effort. Kroger’s digital strategy focuses on simplifying customers’ lives and reaching new audiences, and the partnership extends DoorDash’s reach into urban, suburban and rural communities. By improving access to affordable food for SNAP recipients, DoorDash also advances its mission to combat food insecurity and enhance food access in food deserts.
