DuPont Water Solutions announced the launch of its RO Operations Advisor on April 23 2026. The new AI‑enabled digital tool is designed to help reverse‑osmosis operators reduce downtime and optimize system performance by analyzing historical operating data and delivering system‑specific guidance on cleaning and membrane replacement.
The advisor’s recommendations can lower energy use, reduce chemical consumption, and cut operating expenses by up to 20%, according to DuPont. By extending membrane life and improving uptime, the tool offers a tangible return on investment for water treatment facilities that rely on reverse‑osmosis technology.
The launch aligns with DuPont’s broader strategy to embed AI and digital solutions across its Water Solutions portfolio and to advance its 2035 sustainability goals. DuPont Water Solutions technologies are deployed in 112 countries and help purify more than 50 million gallons of water per minute worldwide, positioning the new advisor as a key component of the company’s global sustainability and efficiency agenda.
"Operating reverse osmosis systems efficiently can be a daily balancing act—managing energy use, protecting membrane life and avoiding unplanned downtime while still meeting water demand," said Sylvia Insogna, Global New Business Development Leader. "With the RO Operations Advisor, customers can apply AI‑enabled, system‑specific recommendations to improve uptime and performance while reducing energy use and unplanned downtime."
