Dolphin Entertainment announced a partnership with Vaneast Pictures to act as the international sales agent for the upcoming sports drama Youngblood. Vaneast will present the film at the European Film Market in Berlin, which runs from February 12 to 22, and will secure distribution deals across international territories.
The agreement positions Dolphin to expand its content distribution footprint beyond the United States. In North America, Well Go USA will release the film in the U.S. on March 6, while Photon Films will handle Canadian distribution. By leveraging Vaneast’s established sales network in Europe, Dolphin aims to generate additional revenue streams from licensing and distribution rights for Youngblood, complementing its existing marketing and publicity services.
Bill O’Dowd, CEO of Dolphin, said, "Danielle and Vaneast bring a sharp understanding of the international marketplace and a clear vision for how to position the film globally, and we’re excited to have them leading sales as the film heads into Berlin." He added that the March 6 release timing is ideal for marketing efforts that will coincide with both the 40th anniversary of the original film’s release and the Winter Olympics, where men’s hockey consistently draws up to 30 million U.S. viewers per game.
Youngblood is a contemporary remake of the 1986 film of the same name. It premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, stars Ashton James as Dean Youngblood and Blair Underwood as his father, and is directed by Hubert Davis. Vaneast Pictures, founded by Danielle Gasher, is an independent sales, financing, and production company focused on indie distribution.
The partnership is expected to enhance Dolphin’s revenue diversification and provide a platform for future content titles to reach global audiences. It also allows Dolphin to monetize its content production assets while maintaining focus on its core marketing and PR operations, positioning the company for continued growth in the competitive entertainment landscape.
