Datasea Inc. is expanding the deployment of its acoustic‑enabled wellness care robots beyond China into South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. The robots are already operating in more than 50 Chinese cities across roughly 300 service locations, and pilot deployments are underway in Boston, New Jersey, Los Angeles and Phoenix.
The company is also preparing to launch its Smart Air Sterilizer in the United States. The ultrasonic disinfection device, which achieves a 99.83% reduction in pathogens, has completed overseas testing and certification and will be sold through Datasea Acoustics LLC, the Delaware‑based subsidiary that manages U.S. operations.
Management estimates that these initiatives could generate up to $10 million in incremental revenue in the next fiscal year. The move represents a strategic shift from low‑margin 5G traffic services to higher‑margin acoustic technology solutions. The acoustic high‑tech segment currently accounts for less than 2% of total revenue, but the company expects rapid scaling as it expands into new markets.
Ms. Zhixin Liu, CEO, said the expansion "represents meaningful progress in the commercialization of our acoustic technology platform," underscoring the company’s confidence in the growth potential of its acoustic products.
Datasea has historically been unprofitable, but the shift toward acoustic technology has improved gross margin through a more favorable revenue mix. The company’s focus on higher‑margin solutions signals a deliberate effort to strengthen profitability while pursuing new growth opportunities.
