eToro Group Ltd. (ETOR) has broadened its equity offering by adding every stock listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, including the full Nikkei 225 index, to its platform. The move brings more than 11,000 common stocks from 26 exchanges into the broker’s catalog, giving users direct access to Japan’s third‑largest equity market.

Alongside the TSE expansion, eToro introduced the JapanEconomy portfolio, a 30‑stock basket that spans industrial, technology, consumer, communications and financial sectors. The portfolio is designed to provide retail investors with diversified, easy‑to‑trade exposure to Japan’s most liquid companies, such as Toyota and Mitsubishi.

The expansion is part of eToro’s strategy to strengthen its multi‑asset platform and meet growing retail interest in Japanese equities. A recent eToro Retail Investor Beat survey found that 14 % of respondents now believe Japan will generate strong stock‑market returns, up from 5 % two years earlier, with 11,000 participants across 13 countries.

Yossi Brandes, Vice President of Execution Services, said, “The launch of Japanese stocks is another major step in making eToro a truly global investing platform. We now offer access to more than 11,000 common stocks across 26 exchanges worldwide, reinforcing our position as a leading global broker‑dealer with one of the most comprehensive stock offerings available to retail investors.” Lale Akoner, Global Market Strategist, added, “Japan is re‑emerging as a structural equity story, as reforms and policy normalisation reset the market’s long‑term return profile. Japanese companies are delivering better earnings visibility, while governance reforms continue to enhance shareholder returns.”

The addition of the TSE and the JapanEconomy basket expands eToro’s global equity footprint, positioning the firm against competitors that lack full access to Japan’s market. By offering a ready‑made, diversified portfolio and low‑friction trading, eToro enhances its value proposition for users seeking global diversification and capitalises on the growing demand for international investment opportunities.
