Eve Air Mobility, Inc. (EVEX) announced that its full‑scale engineering prototype completed its 50th successful test flight on April 9 2026, adding more than two hours of flight time to the program since the first flight on December 19 2025.
The milestone delivers high‑fidelity data that will inform the design of six conforming prototypes and the commercial aircraft, and it marks a critical step toward the 300‑flight test campaign required for type certification with Brazil’s civil aviation authority, ANAC.
Eve plans to begin producing the six conforming prototypes later this year as part of the certification flight test campaign, a move that accelerates the company’s path to commercial deployment and demonstrates the maturity of its lift‑plus‑cruise design.
The achievement underscores the advantage of Embraer’s partnership, which provides extensive aerospace expertise and engineering resources that help de‑risk the program and position Eve ahead of competitors that have paused development.
"Reaching 50 successful test flights with our engineering prototype is more than a technical milestone. It is clear evidence of the maturity of our program and the strength of the solutions we are building," said CEO Johann Bordais.
"Eve is uniquely positioned to deliver not only a high‑performance eVTOL aircraft but also aftermarket services, operational and airspace solutions that customers and cities will require to deploy urban air mobility at scale," added Bordais.
