FactSet Research Systems Inc. announced that Kate Stepp will serve as Chief AI Officer and Bob Stolte will become Chief Technology Officer, effective March 2 2026.
Stepp, who has led FactSet’s technology organization since September 2022, will focus on AI services for clients and report to CEO Sanoke Viswanathan. Stolte, a seasoned technology executive, will oversee the global technology organization, concentrating on platform modernization, engineering execution, and operational resilience.
The appointments underscore FactSet’s commitment to embedding artificial intelligence across its product suite and strengthening its technology foundation. By creating a dedicated AI officer and appointing a new CTO, FactSet aims to accelerate AI deployment, enhance client value, and reinforce its competitive moat in the financial data and analytics market.
Viswanathan said, "AI is central to how we innovate, serve clients, and operate." He added, "Kate brings the strategic vision, technical knowledge, and leadership needed to translate emerging AI capabilities into meaningful outcomes for our clients and our business."
FactSet’s Q1 fiscal 2026 results, which showed GAAP revenues of $568.7 million—up 4.9% from Q1 2024—and adjusted diluted EPS of $4.37—up 6.1% year over year—illustrate the company’s solid financial footing. The new leadership structure is positioned to build on that momentum by deepening AI integration and modernizing the technology platform.
