FedEx Corporation announced a strategic partnership with Viettel Post, a subsidiary of Vietnam’s Viettel Group, that will take effect on April 26, 2026. The deal positions Viettel Post as FedEx’s National Network Provider in Vietnam, giving the courier giant a nationwide footprint for end‑to‑end pickup, delivery, warehousing and customs clearance.

Under the agreement, Viettel Post is expected to handle nearly 2 million shipments per year, connecting Vietnam to more than 220 global markets. The partnership builds on FedEx’s direct‑serve operating model that began in June 2025, and leverages Viettel Post’s extensive local network to improve pickup cut‑off times and overall service speed.

Vietnam’s total import‑export turnover reached USD 930.05 billion in 2025, underscoring the country’s role as a growing trade and logistics hub in Southeast Asia. FedEx’s expansion into Vietnam is part of a broader strategy to capture increased parcel volumes in emerging markets and strengthen its global network in the region.

"Vietnam continues to be a strategically important market in the company's regional growth strategy," said Masamichi Ujiie, President of FedEx North & South Pacific. "This partnership demonstrates that Vietnamese enterprises can deeply participate in the global logistics ecosystem when they possess strong capabilities, robust operational systems, and the ability to meet international standards. Viettel Post will continue to raise standards in speed, service quality, transparency, operational control, and customer experience. We see this not only as a partnership opportunity but also as an opportunity to learn, standardize, and accelerate our development," added Phung Van Cuong, CEO of Viettel Post. "The cooperation will help Vietnamese small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises access global markets more effectively through optimized logistics chains," said Viettel Post deputy CEO Dinh Thanh Son. "Partnering with a trusted local operator reinforces FedEx's long‑term commitment and enhances service speed and flexibility," Ujiie added.

The collaboration is expected to streamline supply chains, reduce delivery times, and improve service quality for Vietnamese businesses. By integrating Viettel Post’s local expertise with FedEx’s global network, the partnership will enhance pickup cut‑off times, expand market coverage, and provide SMEs with faster, more reliable access to international markets. The deal signals FedEx’s continued focus on Southeast Asia and its commitment to building resilient, locally‑anchored logistics solutions in high‑growth markets.
