GCL Global Holdings Ltd. announced the launch of its first‑person full‑motion video title Island of Hearts, set to go live on Steam on March 27. The game is priced at $13.49 and includes a 10% launch discount for early buyers.
The title, developed by creator‑led studio Titan Digital Media and published by GCL’s 4Divinity arm, takes players to a luxury resort on Phuket, Thailand, and offers a branching dialogue system that lets choices shape the story. Seven popular Asian content creators star in the live‑action footage, and a Mandarin Chinese dub expands the game’s appeal to Chinese‑speaking audiences.
GCL’s move into FMV and influencer‑driven content marks a significant shift from its traditional role as a regional digital distributor. The company is building a full‑service gaming ecosystem that includes proprietary IP, and the launch of Island of Hearts is a key milestone in that strategy. The game is also bundled with three physical merchandise packages that are available for pre‑order on the company’s website.
"This was a natural partnership for our gaming and video production units. ‘Island of Hearts’ sits at the intersection of narrative gaming and social video. It’s a compelling format that we believe speaks directly to the audience who loves both. Every conversation has the potential to spark chemistry or to go spectacularly off course. Our cast of characters are central to the experience, and to its appeal," said Sebastian Toke, Group CEO of GCL.
The launch comes amid GCL’s broader efforts to address a Nasdaq deficiency notice for failing to maintain a minimum bid price and a Q2 2026 earnings report that showed significant revenue growth but a net loss. By expanding into live‑action interactive entertainment, GCL aims to diversify revenue streams and strengthen its competitive position in the evolving gaming market.
