GE Aerospace and Palantir have announced a multi‑year expansion of their partnership, extending the collaboration beyond the initial T‑38 trainer‑jet and J85 engine pilot program that began in early 2024. The new agreement will deploy advanced agentic AI‑powered solutions across GE Aerospace’s production system, with a focus on sustainment, maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) and new engine production. The goal is to increase production efficiency and keep more aircraft mission‑ready by leveraging Palantir’s data‑analytics platform to streamline maintenance and logistics.

The expansion builds on the success of the pilot program, which demonstrated how AI can predict demand and identify constraints earlier in the supply chain. By integrating data across the enterprise, the partnership aims to keep more aircraft available so airmen receive the training required to execute on their mission. "By integrating data across the enterprise and applying AI to predict demand and identify constraints earlier, our collaboration with Palantir is helping our customers keep more aircraft available so airmen get the training required to execute on their mission," said Amy Gowder, president and CEO of GE Aerospace’s Defense and Systems division.

"GE Aerospace has spent decades building and sustaining the engines that drive American airpower. By pairing their deep engineering expertise with Palantir’s AI‑enabled software, our partnership is helping to unify data across the enterprise to keep more aircraft available and more airmen trained," added Mike Gallagher, head of defense at Palantir.

The partnership is part of GE Aerospace’s broader strategy to embed AI across its defense portfolio, positioning the company to better support U.S. military operations and strengthen its competitive edge in the aerospace sector. The expansion also signals Palantir’s continued growth in the industrial and defense markets, reinforcing its strategy to diversify beyond government contracts.
