CGI announced that it has earned the Microsoft Copilot specialization, a credential awarded to partners that demonstrate advanced expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot, including Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio, and agent‑based solutions. The certification is part of Microsoft’s AI Cloud Partner Program and signals that CGI can help clients secure, adopt, and develop tailored AI solutions at enterprise scale.

The milestone comes on the heels of CGI’s Q1 Fiscal 2026 results, in which the company reported revenue of $4.08 billion, up 7.7% year‑over‑year, and an adjusted diluted EPS of $2.12. Earnings before income taxes margin fell to 14.7% from 15.6% in the prior year, reflecting the company’s investment in AI capabilities and the higher cost of scaling new services.

CGI’s business is organized into Managed Services, Consulting, and Technology Services. The Copilot specialization is expected to reinforce the Managed Services segment, which saw a 117% book‑to‑bill ratio in the quarter, and to create higher‑margin opportunities as clients seek integrated AI solutions rather than standalone chatbots.

François Boulanger, CGI’s President and CEO, said the company’s performance reflects where clients are investing—modernization and managed services with advanced AI solutions. Leslie McKay, CGI’s Chief Information Officer and Global Executive Sponsor for the Microsoft relationship, added that scaling AI requires governance, security, and adoption, and that the specialization underscores CGI’s ability to combine consulting, integration, and transformational services with Microsoft 365 Copilot.

The certification positions CGI to support secure deployment, adoption, and development of AI solutions that move beyond basic chatbot functionality to an enterprise AI operating model. It aligns with Microsoft’s push for partner‑led Copilot adoption and places CGI in a stronger position to capture growing demand for AI‑enabled workplace services.

Microsoft reports more than 20 million paid enterprise seats for Copilot, and CGI’s partnership enhances its competitive edge in the AI‑enabled workplace services market, potentially driving future revenue growth.
