CGI Federal, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of CGI Inc., has secured a $64,224,863.28 indefinite‑delivery/indefinite‑quantity contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to modernize the agency’s Compass financial‑management platform. The five‑and‑a‑half‑year agreement will include multiple task orders that extend CGI’s Momentum® Enterprise Suite and deliver integrated licensing, operations and maintenance services.

The scope of the work focuses on extending the Momentum suite, integrating advanced artificial‑intelligence capabilities, and optimizing Compass within the EPA’s Amazon Web Services environment. The modernization effort will introduce new automation and enterprise‑resource‑planning features that enable the agency to retire legacy systems, improve operational efficiency, and enhance transparency and accountability for taxpayer dollars.

CGI’s win follows a $522.6 million EPA contract awarded in October 2023 for broader IT modernization and support. The new award adds a recurring revenue stream that complements CGI’s recent financial performance, where Q3 FY2025 revenue reached $4.09 billion and Q4 FY2024 revenue was $3.66 billion. The company’s focus on AI‑enabled solutions is reflected in this contract, reinforcing its strategy to grow managed‑services offerings across the federal landscape.

Jay Hadley, Senior Vice‑President and Business Unit Leader for Regulatory Agencies at CGI, said, "This contract reflects the strength of our long‑standing collaboration and our shared commitment to responsible stewardship of public resources. By modernizing financial systems and advancing automation, we're helping EPA improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and deliver on the federal mandate to protect taxpayer dollars through transparency and accountability."

The award strengthens CGI Federal’s competitive position in the federal IT services market, expands its partnership with a key agency, and demonstrates the growing demand for cloud‑based, AI‑driven financial‑management solutions. The recurring revenue from the contract supports the company’s broader growth trajectory and underscores the importance of AI and cloud modernization in federal agencies’ technology roadmaps.
