CGI has opened a new Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence in Lisbon, Portugal, focused on Agentic and Generative AI. The facility will become operational in early May 2026 and will be integrated into CGI’s existing Portugal operations, which support more than 2,000 partners and professionals.
The center positions CGI as a trusted partner for AI‑enabled transformation across Europe, targeting key markets in Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. By expanding its AI capabilities, CGI aims to enhance its service portfolio and accelerate the delivery of measurable business outcomes for clients, reinforcing its AI‑to‑ROI strategy.
CGI will partner with local universities and higher‑education institutions to develop skilled talent and foster innovation. "Portugal plays a central role in CGI's global delivery network.
