Global Industrial Company announced a multi‑year agreement to become the official industrial supplies partner for the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), the company’s first partnership with a sports league. The deal makes Global Industrial the sole provider of industrial‑supplies for all eight PWHL teams, positioning the company to showcase its brand across the league’s growing fan base and to engage new customers beyond its core industrial distribution business.

The partnership follows Global Industrial’s earlier, venue‑level partnership with the New York Islanders and UBS Arena, but it is the first time the company has aligned with an entire professional sports league. The PWHL, which launched on January 1, 2024, now comprises eight teams—Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, Montreal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, Seattle Torrent, Toronto Sceptres, and Vancouver Goldeneyes—making the partnership a significant platform for brand visibility and customer engagement.

Amy Scheer, PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations, said, “Our partnership with Oak View Group opens the door for a new wave of brands to join the PWHL and connect with a passionate fan base.” She added, “Global Industrial is a perfect example of the kind of thoughtful, authentic alignment we’re building.” Lisa Goldson Armstrong, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Global Industrial, noted, “We are proud to join the Professional Women’s Hockey League as an Official Partner and to be the first league partner announced under this new commercial model.” She also said, “For more than 75 years, Global Industrial has called Long Island its home and we are excited to enter into this partnership with our hometown team, the New York Islanders. This partnership is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the Global Industrial brand and drive engagement with the Islanders’ passionate hockey fanbase across the country.”

The partnership is part of the PWHL’s broader commercial strategy, which is being driven by Oak View Group’s exclusive sponsorship sales role. By securing a league‑wide partner, the PWHL is expanding its revenue streams and strengthening its brand presence, while Global Industrial is diversifying its marketing footprint and accessing a new, passionate audience. The multi‑year agreement underscores both companies’ confidence in the league’s growth trajectory and the value of aligning with a rapidly expanding women’s professional sports brand.

The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, and the announcement did not specify a duration beyond “multi‑year.” However, the partnership’s strategic significance lies in the brand exposure and customer engagement opportunities it creates for Global Industrial, as well as the PWHL’s ability to attract additional sponsors and strengthen its commercial model.
