Global Mofy AI Limited (Nasdaq: GMM) secured a 16‑episode visual‑effects contract for the crime drama The Devil Between Us, a high‑profile series produced by iQIYI and co‑produced by Yuewen Pictures, New Classics Media and Inverse Mapping. The deal positions GMM as a key visual‑effects partner for a premium streaming title and adds a multi‑quarter revenue stream to the company’s growing portfolio.

The series, adapted from Lei Mi’s novel Old Boy (also known as Lao Nan Hai), is directed by Teng Huatao and premiered on iQIYI’s Mist Theatre on February 23 2026. The Mist Theatre label is known for suspense and crime dramas, and The Devil Between Us achieved a popularity score exceeding 7,705 and attracted approximately 1.59 million pre‑release reservations, ranking first across multiple iQIYI charts.

GMM’s FY2025 revenue reached $55.9 million, a 35.3% increase from $41.4 million in FY2024, and the company reported a gross margin of 40.2%. Net income for the second half of 2025 was –$24.34 million, while FY2024 net income was $12.1 million. The new VFX contract is expected to contribute a substantial portion of the upcoming quarter’s earnings, reinforcing the company’s upward revenue trajectory.

Chief Technology Officer Wenjun Jiang highlighted the technical demands of the series: “The Devil Between Us is a crime drama that balances genre intensity with grounded social expression, placing high demands on visual atmosphere, narrative pacing, and emotional delivery.” Jiang added that Mofy VFX will “deliver stable, controllable, and reusable production capabilities through standardized workflows and mature collaboration processes—providing reliable quality output while maintaining delivery discipline for large‑scale projects.”

In China’s competitive VFX landscape, GMM competes with established players such as Visual China Group and global studios like Industrial Light & Magic. The contract underscores GMM’s growing reputation for AI‑driven, high‑quality visual effects and positions the company to capture additional opportunities in the premium streaming segment.

By securing this contract, GMM strengthens its foothold in China’s premium streaming market and demonstrates its ability to deliver complex visual effects for high‑budget productions. The deal signals confidence from iQIYI and its co‑producers in GMM’s technology and workflow, potentially opening doors to further collaborations with other leading streaming platforms.
