Gorilla Technology Group Inc. announced the acquisition of a 100‑rai (≈40‑acre) parcel in Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, to build a 200‑megawatt AI data‑centre campus. The campus will host six high‑density data halls—five rated at 30 MW and one at 50 MW—providing a net IT load of roughly 150 MW and the capacity to support about 76,000 GPUs when fully deployed.
Construction is slated to begin in July 2026, with the first phase expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2027. Gorilla has secured access to power, dark fibre connectivity, and water infrastructure, and will finance the project through a mix of project‑level debt, infrastructure debt, and non‑dilutive capital from its own investment vehicle.
The company projects the campus could generate approximately US$1.5 billion in annualised revenue starting in 2028, contingent on customer contracting and deployment ramp‑up. The project is also expected to create more than 1,000 skilled jobs in the region.
The move expands Gorilla’s sovereign AI infrastructure footprint in Southeast Asia, positioning it to capture a growing market for edge‑AI compute that prioritises data sovereignty, low latency, and regulatory compliance. Thailand’s data‑center market is projected to reach USD 3.89 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of 11.4 %, driven by digitalisation, AI adoption, and the Thailand 4.0 initiative.
Gorilla’s CEO Jay Chandan said, 'Anyone can talk about AI, but very few can put together the actual physical platform required to run it.' He added, 'This milestone deserves to be celebrated. We've secured the land and utilities needed for large‑scale compute and cleared hurdles that many others have not.'
The announcement underscores Gorilla’s strategy of becoming a multi‑region sovereign AI operator. By securing land and infrastructure in a high‑growth market, the company aims to deliver reliable, secure compute to governments, hyperscalers, and enterprises that demand localised, compliant AI services.
With a projected revenue stream of $1.5 billion and a workforce expansion of over 1,000 skilled positions, the Thailand campus is expected to strengthen Gorilla’s financial position and reinforce its competitive edge in the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure sector.
