Globalstar announced a partnership with Boingo Wireless that will see the carrier integrate Globalstar’s XCOM RAN platform into its private‑network infrastructure, marking the first major customer win for the company’s next‑generation private‑5G solution.

The XCOM RAN platform is built by former Qualcomm engineers and runs on Globalstar’s licensed Band n53 spectrum (2483.5‑2495 MHz). Its software‑defined, super‑cell architecture delivers up to four times the capacity of current private‑5G offerings while maintaining low latency and carrier‑grade reliability, as confirmed by Boingo’s technical evaluation.

The deal validates XCOM RAN’s performance and gives Globalstar a foothold in the high‑growth private‑5G market. Boingo’s extensive deployment network—airports, transit hubs, stadiums, hospitals, convention centers and military bases—provides a ready platform for Globalstar to monetize its unique, interference‑free spectrum and diversify beyond satellite services and its Apple‑backed wholesale capacity.

Financially, Globalstar’s 12‑month revenue through September 30 2025 was $262.2 million, up 8.5% YoY, and Q2 2025 revenue was $67.1 million, up 11% YoY, with Adjusted EBITDA of $35.8 million (53% margin). The Boingo partnership is expected to add a new, recurring revenue stream that will help sustain and accelerate the company’s growth trajectory.

Tamer Kadous, General Manager of XCOM RAN, said the partnership “demonstrates the platform’s performance and opens a new growth avenue for Globalstar.” Boingo CTO Derek Peterson highlighted the super‑cell architecture, noting it “delivers greater efficiency, speed, security and ultra‑low latency.”

On February 3, Globalstar’s shares closed at $61.25, up 0.77%, reflecting investor confidence in the partnership and the company’s broader strategy to expand into private‑5G.
