Gray Media announced a multi‑year affiliation agreement with Telemundo on February 5 2026, adding new local affiliates in Dayton, Ohio (WZCD‑LD), Chattanooga, Tennessee (WTVL‑CD and WDNN‑CD), and Lafayette, Louisiana (KNGC‑LD).

The deal expands Gray’s Telemundo portfolio to more than 1.6 million Hispanic television households nationwide, up from roughly 1.5 million, and introduces Spanish‑language local newscasts in markets that previously lacked such programming.

Through the partnership, Gray gains access to high‑profile Spanish‑language content, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the Super Bowl, which are key drivers of viewership and advertising revenue for Spanish‑language audiences.

Susan Sim Oh, senior vice president of strategy and operations for the Gray Telemundo Affiliate Group, said the expansion demonstrates Gray’s commitment to serving the growing Hispanic audience and reinforces its local‑news moat against national broadcasters and streaming services.

Gray Media, the largest owner of local television stations in the United States, serves 113 markets and reaches roughly 37% of U.S. households. By adding these affiliates, the company strengthens its position in a rapidly expanding demographic that now represents a significant share of the U.S. media audience.
