Halliburton and Greenland Energy entered into an integrated services agreement that will provide consulting, logistical management, and well‑drilling services for Greenland Energy’s first onshore exploration wells in the Jameson Land Basin.

Greenland Energy, which went public on April 8, 2026, is a development‑stage company with no operating history, revenues, or proved reserves. The agreement gives the company the operational support it needs to drill its first two wells in the second half of 2026, a critical milestone for a firm that faces significant financing uncertainty and doubts about its ability to continue as a going concern without additional capital.

For Halliburton, the contract expands its presence into the Arctic, aligning with its strategy of securing long‑term service contracts to generate predictable cash flow. The partnership also strengthens Halliburton’s relationship with a new customer and positions the company to capture additional revenue streams in a frontier market.

Greenland Energy’s exploration program faces substantial headwinds, including harsh Arctic conditions, remote access, limited infrastructure, and the need for large capital outlays. The Halliburton agreement de‑risks the operational execution of the drilling campaign and lends credibility to Greenland Energy’s plans, while the company’s recent IPO provides a public platform for future financing.

The Jameson Land Basin remains a frontier play with significant potential but no commercial discovery to date. The partnership with Halliburton, together with agreements with Stampede Drilling and Desgagnés, supports Greenland Energy’s strategy to bring drilling to the basin and to build a credible operational platform.

Investors welcomed the announcement, viewing the partnership as a positive step toward de‑risking Greenland Energy’s exploration program and expanding Halliburton’s Arctic footprint.
