HEICO Corporation’s Electronic Technologies Group announced that it has acquired a 90% ownership stake in Southwest Antennas, Inc. (SWA) for cash paid at closing, with the remaining 10% retained by SWA’s CEO, Ben Culver.
The deal adds SWA’s rugged RF and microwave antenna line—capable of operating up to 8.5 GHz—to HEICO’s defense and aerospace electronics portfolio. The acquisition is expected to create cross‑selling opportunities with HEICO’s existing defense and aviation customers and to strengthen the company’s position in high‑frequency communication and radar systems.
SWA operates a 25,000‑square‑foot facility staffed by more than 110 employees. The acquisition is part of HEICO’s decentralized model, which preserves the entrepreneurial culture of acquired businesses while rapidly expanding complementary capabilities.
HEICO’s Q1 2026 results showed record net income of $190.2 million and revenue up 14% to $1,178.6 million, underscoring the company’s growth momentum. The SWA acquisition aligns with HEICO’s strategy to deepen its presence in defense electronics and to add a high‑performance antenna platform that complements its existing product lines.
"This acquisition marks a milestone in our continued expansion in the antenna market. Having known and admired SWA for many years, we believe it is a natural fit for HEICO and we enthusiastically welcome SWA’s team to the HEICO family," said Eric A. Mendelson and Victor H. Mendelson, co‑chairmen and CEOs of HEICO.
"We are excited to join the HEICO family. Partnering with HEICO, an organization that shares our commitment to culture, innovation, and customers, ensures our long‑term ability to exceed our customers’ needs," added Ben Culver, SWA CEO.
