Harmonic Inc. (HLIT) announced a new network modernization contract with Vyve Broadband, a high‑speed internet, TV and phone provider operating in 16 U.S. states. The deal will deploy Harmonic’s cOS virtualized broadband platform, including its vCMTS technology in a distributed access architecture, to upgrade Vyve’s network to DOCSIS 4.0 and fiber services.

The cOS platform delivers a software‑driven architecture that converges DOCSIS and fiber operations onto a single, unified platform. By leveraging vCMTS in a distributed access architecture, Vyve can streamline day‑to‑day operations, scale capacity more efficiently, and accelerate the rollout of multi‑gigabit services. Harmonic’s AI‑powered Central system will provide real‑time analytics and proactive performance management, further enhancing service reliability and customer experience.

This partnership reinforces Harmonic’s leadership in virtualized broadband solutions and distributed access architectures, a key growth area identified by industry analysts. For Vyve, the deal supports its strategy to expand multi‑gigabit coverage and position the company against fiber‑centric competitors. The contract aligns with the broader industry trend toward network virtualization, which enables operators to modernize legacy infrastructure while preparing for next‑generation technologies.

Harmonic’s Q4 2025 earnings showed revenue of $98.24 million and a net loss of $54.82 million, compared with a $38.12 million net income in the prior year. The company’s full‑year 2025 revenue was $360.52 million, down from $488.2 million in 2024. While the financial terms of the Vyve deal are not disclosed, the contract is described as a “significant revenue opportunity” that could help Harmonic return to growth, a theme echoed in its guidance for 2026 issued on February 19 2025.

Deployment is expected to begin in June 2026, with initial rollouts in two Texas markets. The phased approach will allow Vyve to test the platform’s performance before expanding to additional markets, ensuring a smooth transition to a unified DOCSIS 4.0 and fiber architecture.

"At Vyve Broadband, we're redefining connectivity with next‑generation, future‑ready technology that bridges the digital divide. Harmonic's cOS virtualized broadband platform provides a modern, software‑driven architecture that converges DOCSIS and fiber operations onto a single, unified platform. It delivers the scalability and agility we need to provide multi‑gigabit broadband services while continuously elevating service performance across our markets," said Andy Parrott, CEO of Vyve Broadband. "Our partnership with Harmonic is foundational to Vyve's long‑term network strategy. The cOS platform gives us the architectural flexibility to accelerate our transition to distributed access architectures, charting a clear path to DOCSIS 4.0 and fiber convergence. This collaboration ensures that Vyve's broadband infrastructure is built not just for today's demands, but for the future," added Guy McCormick, Senior Vice President of Engineering. "Vyve Broadband is setting a powerful example for operators nationwide with its forward‑thinking software‑driven approach to modernizing network infrastructure," said Jeffrey Glahn, Senior Vice President, Global Sales at Harmonic.
