The system’s AI feedback loop achieved 99% accuracy for damaged or obstructed signs, 93% for guardrail damage, and 89% on average for pothole detection, validating the platform’s reliability in a real‑world environment.
Ohio DOT officials estimated that the pilot will generate more than $4.5 million in annual savings by enabling data‑driven maintenance scheduling and reducing manual inspection costs. The cost‑efficiency gains are expected to accelerate the state’s infrastructure renewal program and provide a model for other states to adopt similar technology.
