Hewlett Packard Enterprise has broadened its ProLiant edge lineup with the introduction of the ProLiant Compute EL2000 chassis, two new Gen12 servers, and an upgraded DL145 Gen11 server.

The EL2000 chassis is engineered for size, weight, and power constrained sites such as national security, manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications. It supports Intel Xeon 6 processors and can accommodate up to two EL220 Gen12 servers or a single EL240 Gen12 server. The EL240 can be fitted with NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, and both the EL220 and EL240 Gen12 models are slated for availability later in 2026.

The DL145 Gen11 has been upgraded to run AMD EPYC 8005 “Sorano” processors and can operate in temperatures up to 55 °C. The enhanced model is available immediately, and the Premier Solution for Azure Local—powered by an NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell GPU—will launch in May 2026. An Environmental Ruggedization Option Kit is also available right away.

All new platforms meet MIL‑STD‑810H, MIL‑STD‑461G, and NEBS Level 3 compliance, positioning HPE to capture the growing demand for AI‑enabled edge computing in rugged environments. The expansion reinforces HPE’s role as a full‑stack AI infrastructure provider and aligns with its broader strategy to make edge computing, high‑performance computing, and AI businesses represent over 50 % of revenue by fiscal 2026.

IDC forecasts that global edge‑computing spending will reach $380 billion by 2028. HPE’s multi‑vendor approach—combining AMD EPYC processors, Intel Xeon cores, and NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs—along with AI‑driven management features, is designed to capture this growth and give the company a competitive edge in the emerging edge‑AI market.
