Inspired Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: INSE) received approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission to operate as an iGaming Goods or Services Supplier – Critical Gaming Systems (IGCS). The approval, effective immediately, allows the company to supply gaming content and technology to operators in Alberta’s forthcoming regulated online casino and sports‑betting market, which is slated to launch on July 13 2026.

The IGCS designation covers the critical gaming systems that underpin Alberta’s regulated platform, and the approval is the second such authorization in Canada after Ontario. Inspired’s existing partnership with Play Alberta gives the company early insight into local regulatory requirements and player preferences, positioning it to roll out its digital offerings quickly once the market opens.

This regulatory milestone is a key component of Inspired’s broader strategy to shift from capital‑intensive hardware to a high‑margin, digital‑first business model. The Alberta approval is expected to add a new source of recurring revenue and broaden the company’s customer base, accelerating growth in its Interactive and Virtual Sports segments. Inspired has set a target of a 60 % digital revenue mix by 2027, and the Alberta market is a significant step toward that goal.

Management highlighted the company’s recent performance, noting that “We delivered record Interactive revenue (+53% YoY) and Adjusted EBITDA (+60% YoY), underscoring the scalability and operating leverage of our digital core growth engine.” The approval reinforces the momentum behind Inspired’s digital transformation and its ability to generate high‑margin recurring revenue in new regulated jurisdictions.
